DSK Guide #1.1: Search For an album/song to Download

Two years ago, I had posted a post on how to search for a song (without knowing its title) in internet and download (to have a 24 hours demo listening), here

Now, I'm gonna enhance the method - yes, still, the DSK way.

1) Search and Download a Song
Supposed you need to find a song called

強 by Aaron Kwok

Keyword to search in Google: "Aaron Kwok" 強 filehosting company name

E.g.
i) "Aaron Kwok" 強 rapidshare
ii) "Aaron Kwok" 強 mediafire
iii) "Aaron Kwok" 強 megaupload

Try each and every link for the luck.

2) Search and Download an Album
Same goes for album, for example Lily Allen's "It's Not Me, It's You"

So keyword to search in Google will be

i) "Lily Allen" "It's Not Me, It's You" rapidshare
ii) "Lily Allen" "It's Not Me, It's You" mediafire
iii) "Lily Allen" "It's Not Me, It's You" megaupload

Other tips:
1) When you look at the Google result, chances are you'll be seeing blog posts, forum posts that lead to the download link

If you found that the forum need password, sometimes you can try your luck with the Google cache

Click on the "Cached", sometimes you may see the removed link/password protected link.

2) There are other filehosting company such as letitbit, depositfiles, sendspace. But I chose not to include because some of them provide slow download or fast expiring link (such as sendspace)

3) If your selected filehosting company is Rapidshare, unfortunately, lately they are a lot of spam website that host the truncated link (that doesn't give you the full download link) just to earn advertisement $.

This means that your first choice could be mediafire or megaupload - it really depends on your experience.

4) If you look at my search keyword, I tend to put quote for, say, Lily Allen.

I'd put "Lily Allen" instead of Lily Allen.

Reason being this will effectively reduce the returned result.

5) Laziest way to download song without Google-ing - go get software such as Frostwire to download.

But I've gotta remind you, a lot of downloads on Frostwire/Limewire are actually virus, so you'd better have an antivirus installed.
