9/1/10 - Family bond is strong?
Literally, it means 心靈相通 in Mandarin.
Earlier on, my mum went to Carrefour - she bought this ice cream! (to her, it's an expensive ice cream)
At almost the same time, I went to Jusco, I saw this ice cream, found the packaging changed (it doesn't use the smelly plastic packaging anymore)
So I bought it.
At home, when I was about to store it into the fridge - I was shocked! My mum found out this and told me on the spot "Somehow I've got a feeling that you'll buy it.. how to finish?"
I told her "well, let's not be calculative on the good quality ice cream - we'll be able to finish it"
But after that, the whole family caught with coughing.
The total ice cream left = 1.5 tube = 1.5L
I was in 1Utama last Sunday, craving for Haagen Daz ice cream with my friend, only to find that it's closed and replcaed by this shop - Gelatissimo.
I ordered Liquor Chocolate + Belgian Chocolate.
The taste? It's superior than Wall's (of course), Baskin Robins, Gelato Fruity, Bud's and Haagen Daz.
The taste was very rich.
Price is the almost the same (but definitely cheaper? I can't recall) than Haagen Daz, but because the seller prepared the ice cream like sh*t (just look at the photo), I'd give it a:
Rating: 4.5/5
Sometimes, I simply can't control myself.
When I walked past the Canton-i restaurant last week, I automatically walked to the cashier and ordered some desserts.
3 x Signature Egg Tarts = RM5
2 x Steamed Piggy Buns with Red Bean Paste = RM6
Taste? Good of course. It's been a year since I last took those dessert but it's still as nice :-)
Price - not so cheap lo.
Rating: 3.8/5
This is a new restaurant opened near my house.
Their pancake is nice. This is the mango pancake, so so only
This is the durian pancake, it's too tasty that we had to slice it into smaller pieces for sharing.
Rating: 3.5/5
P/S: But, it's RM9 for two pieces.
P/S 2: And it's 2 minutes drive from my house, no way
P/S 3: Now this is the important point - I paid the waiter RM50 and forgot about my RM20++ change (yes very blur I know) when I realised and went back to the shop, they recognised me and took out the receipt + changes which was all ready made (yah, that's the expectation of course) Bottom line - I'm happy with their honesty.
P/S 4: I heard that their mango pudding is nice, will try that next time
There's a reason why I love Japanese chocolate - they are not too sweet, and the chocolate taste nice.
Half year ago (yeah, I know it's long time ago) I bumped into these two brands.
I've been buying Morinaga (as of half year ago) chocolate cos they tasted nice, and thought it'll be interesting to try van Houten (non Japanese company) chocolate made by Japanese company - Glico
Result?
Glico-van Houten - taste slightly sweeter, slightly expensive - RM8 -
Rating: 3/5
Morinaga - taste good, not-that-expensive - RM6 -
Rating: 4/5
You can get them at Jusco - Japanese food section (as of half year ago)
P/S: I stopped buying those chocolate not because of health reason - but because of cost-cutting measure T-T
I tried the doughnuts at their new branch in Time Square.
Verdict? Tasty on the first few bites (strictly on the original blazed flavour)
But I felt the oily-ness and filling-ness after that.
However, to be fair, before having the doughnuts (I ate three, at around 11AM), I had my wantan mee breakfast + 2 curry puffs and a bun.
Fair review? No. :P
