Apple released its latest version of internet browser, Safari 4
FYI, another browser war started last year - between Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Google Chrome. The first browser war happened a decade ago, which was Internet Explorer (free) vs Netscape Navigator (chargeable for Gold version)
This time, the goal of the war: The fastest (browsing + rendering + javascript processing) browser
Fastest? I don't quite care.
Safari 4 was the fastest but few days ago, Google Chrome 3 developer build was even faster.
What I care is if it serves what I do in browsing.
Apart from that, upon trying Google Chrome or Apple Safari on slow computer, they are actually slower than what they claim - i.e. resource hungry.
Apart from that, they do not have as much third party extension (or, customisable) as Firefox.
However, it shows that Firefox needs to catch up - before Safari & Chrome gets more customisable.
Now, who cares about Internet Explorer?
