Unlike human, I know my ability to move on.

In fact, I have a plan to retire 2 years later.

I might choose to hibernate forever.

Unlike human, I know when it's the best for me to retire.

Unlike human, I won't feel sad cos I know 10 years is already a good period for me to live and to enjoy.

I don't know, that's the initial plan but what I know is, for the next 2 years, I've gotta accomplish things that I have yet to accomplish - i.e. a real song with real mtv!

I really wonder why human loves to get stuck in traffic jam.

Jam on the way to work.

Jam on the way to home.

Jam on the way to shopping complex.

Jam while leaving the shopping complex.

So today, Trevor was stuck in the jam for 1 hour before he reached home.

And obviously, Emoody and Emoody Sr were quite impatient in the car already.

Luckily I'm a bear who didn't choose to station in the car.

But as a bear, I love honey jam.

I didn't know that I've been blogging for 5 years already.

5 years, the duration that's longer than my last relationship.

5 years ago, I started blogging on the night after my 21st birthday in UK.

Since then, then content has been much richer but sometimes, a bit random.

So much has changed in the past 5 years in the world of internet.

The reason I didn't switch to twitter is because for my blog, it's highly searchable whenever I need the info that I recorded.

It also serves as an info sharing centre (especially the DSK Guide series) that can help the people too.

So, talking about interest, yes, there's still much interests in blogging, and God knows how long would I be blogging for.

Well, what a post to be the 100th post of the month.

This year my birthday was slightly more happening - I've got many wishes from Facebook, MSN chat, SMS and even phone calls.

One of the surprise was from Yin Fong - currently studying and working in Singapore.

I touched slightly on the incident happened two years ago, which made us good friend, and yes, time really flies - she has a stable boyfriend now and I'm sure they are happily together too.

And she said she purposely set an alarm to remind her to call me - I'm not sure if it's true, if it is, it'll be quite sweet of her.

Thanks and take care, my friends.

I'll put it as a very simple logic:

If you want to attend a funeral, please attend it with respect - not covered with umbrella to avoid the media.

More over, you are a super star, you serve as an idol to people - your fans might use your way of life as their own reference.

If you are afraid of the crazy fan attacking etc, and you can't trust the efficiency the bodyguard - fine, don't attend, and I don't think the dead person will blame you - after all it's the heart that counts.

The basic fact is, if you want people to respect you, first you must respect yourself.

Here, I can see big disrespect towards the dead person, especially in the eyes of Chinese community.

Yesterday had a great dinner with Aileen & Carol, at Delicious restaurant.

Caesar salad

Spicy Seafood spaghetti.

And Crispy Salmon + two dessert.

The bill was RM127.10 but I must tell you, the portion was good, yummy and it's definitely worth it.

Except for the speed of food serving was bit slow, we had no complains on any other things.

It lives up its name and we will definitely go there again!

Rating: 4.5/5

Actually it didn't matter much to me - as Malaysia has summer all year long.

But what matters is the summer movie season - the end of summer means the end of blockbusters offering.

It seems, what's left for the rest of the year is 9, Surrogates, 2012 and Avatar.

For month of September, there's no blockbuster at all!

So I planned to watch District 9, GI Joe & Up again.

And I've just done with District 9 yesterday.

Last Saturday evening was a busy evening - I took the photo before I left the office.

On the way back at Jalan Kuching, stuck in traffic jam because the Muslims & non-Muslims were coming out to buy foods @ Pasar Ramadan.

At the 'airport road' near my house. Come and visit me and you'll understand why it's called 'airport road'

After settling my laptop, I went out for my haircut.

Taken with my dear C901 ;)

It's been two weeks after I last visited FRIM - the natural source for oxygen & phytoncide.

Me, Tee Chong and Seng Joo tried different route this time

But FRIM seemed to have lesser people on that day - is it because of H1N1 scare?

But again, I thought that's the reason why people need stronger body?

P/S: My C901 seems to perform badly under low light condition. (photos above taken with the phone)

Verdict: Heartwarming, touching & meaningful. Easily the best animation of the year.

Pixar is still the best animation studio so far.

After watching this movie, I'm sure you'll agree with me.

This movie, tells about an old man, Carl, after losing his wife - he went on to fulfill their unfulfilled adventure.

After the opening short film, Partly Cloudy, the following 15 minutes of back-story tells how Carl met his wife, Ellie, and their married life until she left for another world.

It was already very touching and you could feel the solitude Carl has to face after his wife's departure.

However, after that, began Carl's adventure. When I saw the house began its voyage, flying with balloons - I know at that moment I have the same feeling with the gazers on the street - flying with colourful balloon was something like a childhood dream come true.

I found three important messages from this movie:

1) When you have big ambition and is desperate to prove that you are right, it will turn the person insane. (Charles)
2) Sometimes, when you dare to let go, you are giving yourself a brand new (happy) beginning (Carl, telling Russell, "It's just a house")
3) And when you let go, it doesn't mean the thing will have a bad ending. (The house in the end)

Overall, it's a satisfying movie, although the logic (the dogs can speak and they can't sense there were human hiding) is more for kids.(ya I know, this is an animation)

By the way, I watched 3D version, but I feel that 2D version is enough for your visual stimulation. ;)

Rating: 8.5/10

This video, by late Yasmin Ahmad, reflects some of the Chinese Malaysian mentality.

For the first part, I interpreted it as "Malaysia is not a good place for Chinese Malaysia, you should go to other countries, where they appreciate your talent and sponsor your studies"

But the guy seemed to love this country, wanted to protect his mother, appreciate his friends and whatnot, therefore was reluctant to accept the offer.

Come to the second part, he seemed to have a crush on the Malay Malaysian girl. But before he could further proceed - his mum stopped him.

This is the painful reality - for even if a particular descendant (note, I'm reluctant to use the word 'race') has affection on other descendant, they can't proceed because of the biased view, discrimination etc - brain-washed by family or even the society.

And not to forget, the government policy or even the religion perceived by individual descendant, played a big role to stop all these cultural interaction.

Therefore, while non-Malay descendant love to say they are oppressed, did they really try to give before they could take?

This is the last laugh Yasmin Ahmad had on Malaysia's unity.

It is both funny and sad.

Lyrics:
Waiting for another train,
I got my ticket to ride in my hand.
It's getting wet by my hand,
I tried to hide it with my little prayer.

A brand new kind of prototype
I wonder whether I should take the chance.

Anyway, it's just another game.

Said that I shouldn't lie,
I'm gonna treat you like the little angel.
I would like to simplify,
Of all the promises that I've ever made.

Then will I be crucified?
For stabbing on your soul till it's dead.

Very strange, we're feeling the same.
I feel pain, it will never be the same.

Am I gonna take this feeling back to my home.
They did more than just mess.
Am I gonna end this story all on my own?
Truth is you'll never change.
Am I gonna throw this memory down in the drain.

Very strange, we were feeling the same.
I feel pain, it will never be the same - (at least for) tonight.

By wearing a facemask, you feel safe that you are being protected to a certain extend.

But do you wear the facemask properly? The article below shows the steps to wear the facemask, properly:

1. Wash your hand before putting on the mask

2. the greenish surface should be facing out and the whiter surface towards your mouth.

3. the edge with a small wire embedded in faces up.

4. the mask should be put on to cover your nose and mouth and stretched gently over your chin.

5. the rubber bands on both sides should be wound around your ears.

6. finally, press the thin metal wire along the upper edge gently against the bridge of your nose so that the mask sits nicely on your face.

7. That's all ;)

One must know that, before this, the Ministry of Education had already taken away the school's field.

Earlier, it was a mine lake. It was reclaimed by the Mun Choong committee - with their own money & arrangement.

Not long after reclamation, the Minister of Education asked the committee to surrender the filled land, and subsequently built a secondary school on Mun Choong's ex-sports field.

I have two profound memory of the field:
1) The sports days, happened annually, were the exciting days for all the Mun Choong people to come together
2) Far away - nearing the end of the field, there's some old trees and had some playground facilities. They were aging but there's one 'alternative gadget' to play with - the hanging vines.

At least my father demonstrated on how to swing with the hanging vines(like tarzan) (and he was a teacher at the time, what a teacher)

So, I can't remember clearly, but when I was standard 5 or 6, the field was surrendered to the Ministry for Education.

I didn't feel angry at the time cos I'm not really enthusiastic about the sports - but I did feel sad for the school lost a venue for sports day.

And now I'm doubled the anger, after learning that at least 1 million ringgit were spent to fill up the land.

This is very un-1Malaysia since 15 years ago!

My Wavelab crashed for my first demo, so I'll do it tomorrow.

Btw, it's not a good demo cos the guitar playing had a lot of mistake (it's been more than a month since I last touch the guitar and sing)

As a precaution measure, my office requires its employee to wear mask during work.

Two weeks ago, no-rinse hand sanitizer had been distributed to us to make it a habit to wash the hand.

And today, on top of a 'two masks per day' supply, I received a thermometer as well.

Wearing a mask during work does bring some difficulties while breathing.

But if that can help to reduce the rate of infection, and that it helps to make people feel better (that by wearing mask can help you to stay away from H1N1 disease) - why not?

Personally, I think it can only help to a certain extend - your hygienic practice will be the crucial factor after all.

And, people need not to over-react over this incident - after all, good hygiene practice and healthy lifestyle should and should have been the normal practice since day one.

Verdict: Deep, smart & non-mainstream sci-fi film that leaves room for imagination

This movie tells an alien-relocation (yes, the alien here are the refugee, who came to earth 20 years ago) programme, which went wrong in the middle of progress.

There's a lot of metaphor in this movie, which I thought they are closely-tight with the current social issue that we have.

And in fact, the director came from South Africa, which had (and still has) serious racism issue.

The movie started a bit slow to introduce the character, the background of the alien 'invasion' and the eviction programme.

I thought the director tried to depict the racism issue with the metaphors below:

Alien: the blacks in South Africa,
Human: the whites who applied apartheid (District 9 in this film) to the blacks
Wikus, the main character: the refugee that has identity crisis (starting from the middle of the film)

And lastly, the MNU: it looks like the government or underground organisation, who would do anything to cover up, and to get the maximum benefit to the organisation (in terms of money, of course)

Towards the end, the movie tends to be gory (but in an 'instant' way) but it tells that, when the minority isn't given the rights they deserved - you can't guarantee that there'll be no rebel or even terrorism.

This movie combines the best element of Cloverfield (mockumentary-filming style), Fly (evolution), Transformers (alien that has hi-tech weapon who lives on earth) and Star Trek (back to back action that looks fresh)

This movie is not without flaw - especially the escape part towards the end.

However, this movie is fresh - in terms of idea (the alien didn't invade USA this time, and etc) and the character (the evil here is human, not alien). The director did it well with the action + storytelling (with metaphor) and yes, I won't be surprised if we have the sequel "District 10" in few years time.

Therefore, two ratings will be given:
Rating#1: 10/10 (for this is the director's first film)
Rating#2: 9/10 (for general rating)

Verdict:A remake that's comparable with the original, which has a cuter and funnier touch.

I watched the original version some time ago - therefore I can't really recall.

So I watched this remake, it's pretty good but not exceptional :)

The Doraemon movie nowadays has cuter touch - that's good and bad.

Good because it makes the characters adorable
Bad because it somehow loses touch with the original feel, and that it lessen the serious message that it carries, sometimes.

So this movie, is fun to watch but nothing much that you can expect :_
