After listening to the first track, I pre-ordered the CD/DVD - for a fan who has yet to watch their live performance, this is the only thing I could afford :P

Chemical Brother is back!

This is their first single and I must say it's visually stunning!

Finally they announced on their MySpace website that their new album will arrive in few months time, which is 'new and exciting'.

While their last two albums failed to give the the 'ummphh' feeling, I'll still look forward to it ;)

I guess it's always healthy to dance.

And to dance in group and not because of alcohol or even because we were there to look for girls is the most decent and healthy things to do.

So, me, Emoody and Emoody Sr were dancing to The Chemical Brothers music, "Hey Boy, Hey Girl"

Kinda old skool but we like it.

There's one main reason why I love electronic music - it's like classical music.

Crazy idea? Please allow me to explain.

I'm not talking about those music that you get to hear from those who are trying to show off their sound system - those typical boom chang boom chang boom chang music.

If you are looking for example, it'll be The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim etc.

While Fatboy Slim is more towards the funky side of the music mixing, The Chemical Brothers' range is much wider.

While making the typical techno music you get to hear, such as "Hey Boy, Hey Girl", "Setting Sun"

As well as R&B flavour, such as "Galvanize" & "The Salmon Dance"

If it's too noisy for you, you may want to listen to "The State We're In", "Close Your Eyes", "The Pills Won't Help You Know"

And finally, electronic music that sounds like classical music.

If you listen to "Surface to Air", "The Sunshine Underground" (this is live version, the visual is wonderful) or "We Are the Night"

You'll notice the similarity - they are like the classical music, they repeat the same theme/rhythm using different instrument or effect, making the melody into variation.

That's the reason why I like that type of electronic music, and I've been enjoying for the past 10 years, at least.

I think it's interesting to find two style of a same songs - that sounds equally good.

Chemical Brother's original take. Music video is stunning as you'll see you're having one of the most interesting train ride. Music wise, is in slight relaxing style.


Shinichi Osawa's cover version. The style is more suitable for DJ mixing for clubbing purpose... But hey, it's interesting as it's energetic!


It's a 5/5 for both artists. No losers here :)

Nice (psychedelic) music video and nice beats too.

Verdict: A nice top singles collection from Chemical Brothers, with Electronic Battle Weapons collection that adds the collectivity value

I'm currently doing housekeeping on my laptop, and found this track.

It's "Marvo Ging" by The Chemical Brothers, from the album "Push The Button"

I created my own edition back in 2004 because I thought it's a bit repetitive.

It looks like two monkeys DJ-ing in a concert.

Not many people care about releasing the compilation of B-sides - simply because B-sides (the rest of the tracks in a single/EP) 

UK Oasis did release a compilation of the B-sides, and I'm sure many Oasis fans would say someties the B-sides are better than A-sides (which is not supposed to be the case )

Well, back to The Chemical Brother's B-sides Volume 1. This is the first compilation of their B-sides - but available only in digital format.

The tracks are more towards the beats - something that you can expect from clubs. 

If you are a electronic/techno fan, it's worth listening.

This is back dated in 1998. From one of Chemical Brother's best album - Surrender.

I dare say it's a good song to test the bass capability of your speakers :)

What a fantastic music with wonderful visual. (you actually see blue sky thru the butterflies and woman's body)
