So I heard from tc that Taiwan is a heaven for shopping. Here's how the ladies in her group shop:
1) used up all the cash
2) started using card
3) borrow money from trip members who still have cash
4) when they get money from VAT refund, continue shopping again.

My family and I will be there next month.

Considering my sis has already been shopping monthly from Taiwan e-shop such as queen shop, Tokyo fashion, bai momo etc...

Good luck.

This morning I had a phone call from an old friend, he asked me on the pricing of subscribing Google Storage.

It started as a little proposal on how he can backup the document for his office in a slightly risk-free way.

On top of that, he will be able to access the document from home, without the need to setup a file server, SSL connection etc.

To be honest, Google Drive/Documents helped me in the past few years, especially in terms of collaboration.

It is amazing how cloud storage has its possibilities - and it is set to do even more.

Everyday we've been hearing sad news - robbery, murder and lately, 3 statutory rape cases that the convicted ones were found not guilty, on the reasoning of 'bright future', 'had consent from the female', 'unreliable proof by the kid of penile penetration'

In a very near future, we shall have the General Election - a chance to choose who you want to run the country in the next 5 years.

I hope my friends in Singapore (yes, majority of them are there now) would take this chance to make a difference.

If General Election turns out to be 'bad candidate selected to run the country, again', I might be doing what my ancestor from China did... again.

So when I saw the birthday cake for Callum, my first impression was 'this is inspired by 1Malaysia logo'

But the cake maker said she wasn't inspired by that logo.

Instead, some argued that, I was the one who's brainwashed by 1Malaysia concept.

No, I'm not.

And to be frank, I thought the idea was quite.. erm... amusing :)

Don't ask me why - if you follow the news in Malaysia ever since this idea was launched - you'll know what I mean.

Btw, Happy Birthday, Callum!

There are 5 things that have been bothering me lately.

Of 2 are career related
1 is the Gunung Tahan trip - I still have doubt if I can tahan during that time
1 is a family matter
1 is a personal matter.

Call me crazy or what, I've been putting a lot of priority (i.e. 優先權) on the personal matter.

A lot needs to be done.

不過,我只能說,此時此刻,心情踏實了很多。

There are things that human won't confess.

There was something happened few months ago, which I did not reveal.

But lately, somehow when I recalled of it - I felt it's good to share the story.

Well, I felt restless after a relationship that didn't work out the way it was promised - I was hurt because I felt cheated on a promise that I was made to believe.

Restless + did not concentrate on road...

Yes, I hit a motorcyclist, with his daughter on the motorcycle.

The old man was in pain
The daughter, with bruises and she was crying for her father.

I sent them to the hospital.

The daughter was ok but the old man would need to be hospitalised.

He suffered some rib fracture.

I saw the old man and daughter suffering - I felt useless.

Because of my unhappiness from a relationship that didn't work out - I transferred my suffering to a family who were totally innocent.

I visited the old man few days later.

I felt a bit relieved cos the old man and the family were kind - they instead said thank you to me for sending the old man to the hospital.

I felt totally embarrassed.

There was another incident happened during the patient visit - the girl involved in that 'relationship', tried to call me, text me and after that, emailed me.

At that time, I felt like it's a sarcasm put on me - I was visiting a patient who suffered the unnecessary pain because of my reckless action, at the same time, the girl questioned on why I chose to move on.

The answer and lesson learned is simple -

1) Don't be selfish and
2) Do not betray your partner, or make yourself becoming a third party, because of the happiness that you could gain in short term. In long term, it's a suffering/sorrow.
3) Don't ever transfer your unhappiness to someone else, they are innocent.

The unhappiness should stop at your side.

And of course, if everybody knows how to appreciate their life, the partner's loyalty and the things around them, this world can be a happier world.

Yesterday I attended my ex-primary school mate's wedding dinner

Then one of my school mate wanted to buy make up remover, I tagged along and helped her to find what she wanted.

She asked "How come you know all these?"

I said "Sometimes I followed my sister to buy these stuff and sometimes I heard a bit from her, that's how I knew"

She said "So how close are you with your sis?"

I randomly thought of one statement

"Sometimes I helped her to buy pad"

She laughed and we agreed that one line statement explained it all :P
