While I am OK with how Microsoft trying to create the 'fun factor' with the Surface tablet ad,
I am more impressed with the VW Golf done by DDB 4 years ago
Similar idea, big difference :)

Steam -> Train
One of child's toy - Telephone
Franklin's kite test -> Electricity
I seriously like the HP Mini's latest ad:
Presentation - of those simple but a bit retro style
Tag line - Great Ideas Start Mini
And of course, how it links those great invention with the small things/test in the first place.
Bad rebranding, period.
I felt Pepsi had done a terribly wrong move.
Are they trying to position themselves as superhero? (ya, you can put that logo on your t-shirt and start acting as Pepsiman)
(Oh, I'm a fan of Coke, btw)
It reminds me of this:
A rebranding that made itself looks like another superhero or detergent brand.
HP Ultra Concentrate Detergent, anyone?
If you feel cold, this is exactly the ad you need to watch!!
