Frankly, I didn't know this until I read the news from somewhere.

Microsoft will release Windows 7 on 22 October 2009.

The initial release plan was somewhere in year 2010.

So, what does that mean?

1) Windows Vista (almost 3 years) had a shorter life than Windows XP (almost 5.5 years)
2) Windows Vista is screwed up (else why would they release another major version, fast tracked?)

And fyi, the first thing my dad got my laptop (running on Vista), I reinstalled with XP.

The performance difference is obvious.

With Windows 7 releasing soon, I feel for those who just paid to buy Vista lately.
