Verdict: Cute story with good message for environmental issue. Pixar again showed that it is superior in animation industry.
The movie started with a short story about a magician - which I thought it's already worth the movie ticket :-)
Then, the actual Wall-E movie started.
The storyline is straight forward, about a robot, Wall-E, cleaning the rubbish on earth for the past 700 years, which human exiled far away from the planet in a huge spaceship.
One day, EVE (a robot) was sent to detect if the earth is feasible for human to return and stay. This is when the Wall-E fell in love and the story continues.
My only complain is the 700 years that Wall-E spent on earth. I thought 100 years is enough, which will avoid many flaws in logic:
i) After 700 years, many rubbishs on earth (that are exposed to air & sun) would have been self-degraded.
ii) There were leaflets made from paper (exposed to sun), still in good condition
iii) The bra was in good condition.
iv) The source of electricity is a question too - after 700 years, it's kinda impossible for the renewable energy generator to be operational without maintenence.
v) The food, that's used to feed the cockroach is still in good condition after 700 years.
But the two clear messages delivered in the movie were very clear and educational:
i) Environmental issue is a big issue, if there's no careful process of waste
ii) Human is set to be really fat and useless, if there are too many automation.
The movie is really fun to watch. The effect in the movie was superb. Again, I thought 100 years is just enough :)
P/S: Alec Azam is the cutest rabbit since Bug's Bunny!
