I missed the Cameron Highland trip cos I was busy doing preparation for this trip.

It was worthwhile.

I heard a lot about the caves (one of my ancestor actually lived in caves before, they were once the Cavebear) , but I had never visited any.

So finally - there you have it - stalactite & stalagmite that are larger than human!

I had my first acquaintance with Abraham Lincoln.

And last but not least, the Mulu Pinnacle, where human recently gave it a new name.. something like 'a place with Avatar feel'.

I don't know about you, but I always feel that human is a creative creature.

A tiring but interesting trip!

Kimura is, or, has been, cute

I'm listening to Kimura's latest album - a greatest hits compilation album.

The bonus disc includes 12 previously unreleased tracks, either in single or album form.

It's a nice album, review will come later.

But here's a song that I thought that's quite cute, titled "Forbidden Fruits"

You can have a trial listening here

And I have to admit, without the lyrics below, I had hard time figuring out what was she singing.

Lyrics:
She takes me to the fascinating world of forbidden fruits
Her life is footloose and fancy free, forbidden fruits

I transformed to a little airplane
Fly to her, switch to automatic driving
You are tricky, already in the sky
Please give me sweet sweet forbidden fruits

She takes me to the fascinating world of forbidden fruits
I invaded her deep and strange space, forbidden fruits

I have never seen before
It is not necessary to feel poor any longer
I was able to find the future
Please give me sweet sweet forbidden fruits

When eating, it is the beginning and the end, forbidden fruits
When eating, it is the beginning and the end, forbidden fruits

Here is only brand-new things
Hereafter, My mind is never frightened
Still, the past is a little anxious
Please give me sweet sweet forbidden fruits

Nobody barks like a tiger
The inspiration gets off one after another
So, I keep taking the rhythm
Please give me sweet sweet forbidden fruits
Please give me sweet sweet forbidden fruits

Nobody barks like a tiger
The inspiration gets off one after another
So, I keep taking the rhythm
Please give me sweet sweet forbidden fruits

Saiful vs Anwar's case gave us several insights, if whatever Saiful said was true:

(if you didn't follow the story, you should read the news article here)

1) Anwar is a horny, sexual maniac beast. He will greet people with question like "Can I fu*k you today?"

So meet up with him at your own peril.

2) Saiful is an extremely easy going person. Regardless how pissed he was after he was asked "Can I fu*k you today?" by Anwar, he would still went and clean himself up and came out naked with only towel covering his lower part

So, two things you need to screw Saiful:

i) The magic statement "Can I fu*k you today?"
ii) Provide him a towel.

3) KY Jelly is no good for lubrication.

One of the evidence Saiful provided in court was the KY Jelly they used during the sodomize activity.

Let's not question who provided the KY jelly which will lead to another two questions:
i) If Anwar provided KY jelly, why did Saiful keep it? Is that a souvenir or something?
ii) If Saiful provided the jelly, WHY HE BROUGHT IT WITH HIM ALL THE TIME? Did he foresee that he'll have sex anytime and anywhere?

OK ok, the point here is that, after using KY Jelly, Saiful still suffered from great pain that subsequently, he can't shit for the next two days.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The real pain in the ass is, the Malaysians would need to live with this kind of big joke.

Brosandi Smiling
Hendumst í hringi Spinning round and round
Höldumst í hendur Holding hands
Allur heimurinn óskýr The whole world a blur
nema þú stendur But you are standing

Rennblautur Soaked
Allur rennvotur Completely drenched
Engin gúmmístígvél No rubber boots
Hlaupandi inni í okkur Running inside us
Vill springa út úr skel Want to erupt from a shell

Vindurinn The Wind
og útilykt af hárinu þínu An outdoor smell of your hair
Ég anda eins fast og ég get I breathe as hard as I can
með nefinu mínu with my nose

Hoppípolla Jump into puddles
Í engum stígvélum With no boots on
Allur rennvotur(Rennblautur) completely drenched(Soaked)
Í engum stígvélum With no boots on

Og ég fæ blóðnasir And I get a nosebleed
En ég stend alltaf upp but I always stand up

Og ég fæ blóðnasir And I get a nosebleed
En ég stend alltaf upp but I always stand up

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

It's a cute song, really ;)

Sigur Rós - Hoppípolla from Sigur Rós on Vimeo.

Finally, with the help by Darry, I found this song.

It's a song called Hoppípolla (means "Jumping into puddles" in English) by an Icelandic group called Sigur Rós.

The MV is quite interesting too - it shows a group of seniors, playing pranks like the children.

(And the last part where they fought at graveyard is rather interesting, too)

Which is quite true because when the people at the old age tend to act like a child.

My grandpa is one good example.

Again, thanks Darry!

Verdict: Be thrilled by this romance movie

I can't tell much about the story - it will definitely be a big spoiler.

But what I can say is, it started as a standard romantic movie, but end up, it is a thriller.

It is scary to know how 'love' can drive a person mad/crazy.

In fact, it is quite disturbing.

Audrey Tautou had delivered solid performance in this movie - at least, she is able to put some 'thriller' element into this romance movie .

My only complain is that the movie has too much of coincidence that gave Angelique a smooth run on whatever she wanna do.

Rating: 8.5/10

P/S: Thanks Jen for the intro ;)

Verdict: Very localised, Very (Chinese) Malaysian, Very cute, But Very Commercialised too.

It's a simple movie that you don't even have to know the plot.

But it's the joke that we're familiar with, the language that we (sorry but, strictly to Chinese Malaysian) are familiar with, that make this movie interesting.

I'd say they've done their homework in terms of acting (many were giving their first time :P) - you can't give them grade A but I would give them at least a B-.

Unfortunately, I really think the Chinese Malaysian would fully understand the joke in the movie.

And the movie was like... too commercialised - you could see some branding here and there. (but what to do, they are the sponsors)

But for a local movie, I would say this is a good start.

Rating: 7/10

Verdict: An "Indiana Jones" wanna be, but failed

First, I really think Jay Chou isn't quite suitable to be an actor - he doesn't have the actor look.

He doesn't look macho nor does he have the 'lead actor' look.

His role in Initial D was ok cos of the 'otaku' kind of look.

But if he is to act action movie like this, sorry.

The story is rather simple - to get some kind of treasure in lost city, based on a map.

Lin Chi Ling has got more chance to talk in this movie, but still some journey to go before the acting can be considered as 'good acting'

Apart from that, the visual effect and storyline is quite the standard package you get to see in Hollywood movie.

Rating: 5/10

So the latest drama in the country is Anwar vs Saiful, whom Saiful accused Anwar of forcing him to have anal sex.

I would just look at one point only:

The anal activity happened on 26th June 08, but he reported and was examined on 28th June 08. The doctor was still able to get the residue of the semen
.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Analysis from the statement:

- He likes to have the semen stayed in his ass
- Even if he showered or
- Maybe he didn't shit
- Even if he shit, the stubborn semen still wanna stay in the ass
- Those who like to have anal sex, beware, the residue of semen will stay inside the ass!!!!! Who knows you'll get a 'semen shit' one day!

The conclusion of the analysis is: Ouch, it's a pain in the ass!

Special appearance by Francesco the Bear

If you get to taste Hoegaarden and Heineken, you can immediately tell the difference - the latter one doesn't taste that smooth (needless to say other beers at the same range like Tiger, Anchor etc)

But, given the recent beers that I drank, I'd say Hoegaarden (sounds like Whore Garden, somehow, always gave me that impression) is less gassy than Johann Auer, same smoothness as König Ludwig, but Leffe is tastier than Hoegaarden!

Things happened in the past half week - thanks to my beloved C901.

One of the nights' dinner

Sunset when I was reaching home

Old building

Cloud that looks like cyclone

'Avatar plant', my dad said that.

First bite by the leech for this year. More to come, this coming Mulu trip

Tutti Fruitti yogurt. Delicious but f***ing expensive

FRIM again, never cease to love those naturally patterned trees.

Dad: Do you want to go?
Me: Sure, why not?
Dad: Well, I've always wanted to go, I wanted to go in year 1986, but there was something that made me gave up the plan. Now that my friends are asking me if I wanna go...
Me: It's 24 years already. You should go. You are not young already
Dad: Yah, 53 this year. If I times 2, it'll be 106 - I can't do it already but you still can (it will be 26 x 2 = 52)
Me: Then we should really go, those things can't wait :-)

For the past 2.5 years, horoscope studies has been one of the activities during my leisure time.

I like it very much cos it helps me a bit on human behavior studies as well as my 'imitation hobby'.

Here I'd like to share on what I had learned so far - cos it's been fun to get to understand it.

To give a short brief on horoscope:

1) There are 12 signs

It starts with Aries and it ends with Pisces

2) There are 4 elements that gives general characteristic of the signs
Fire: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius
Earth:Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn
Air:Gemini, Libra, Aquarius
Water:Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces

3) There are 3 types of qualities
Cardinal: Aries, Cancer,Libra, Capricorn
Fix: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius
Mutable: Gemini, Virgo,Sagittarius, Pisces

Verdict: Solid story with solid acting - but ending was rather.. dramatically fast

I didn't feel bored with this 2.5hours movie (an instant comparison, with Avatar, I felt bored at the beginning)

I thought the movie talks about cause & action, with some coincidence in between - happened in alternate timeline of Nazi era.

The movie is typical Quentin Tarantino (gory) style, just like those you've seen in Kill Bill 1 & 2 - so take it or leave it.

The only drawback of the movie is that, I thought coincidence was too much and that the situation was too perfect for the last grand assassination - with so many top rank Nazi leaders in the cinema - there seemed to have not much of soldiers guarding around?

But still, the solid and smooth story flow, as well as solid acting especially by Christoph Waltz as SS Colonel Hans Landa, neutralised the gory & perfect-coincidence I mentioned.

Rating: 8.5/10

Verdict: A typical B-movie. Period.

The action scene you saw from the trailer, took probably the 50% of the real action scene happened in the movie.

That wasn't quite a joke.

This movie, about the 'Judgment Day" - all I remembered was talking, talking, some action scene, then talking and talking.

Some talkings were rather philosophical - but too much will make it a draggy film.

Actions were predictable.

However, I like the phrase Michael talked to Gabriel -

"You gave Him what He asked for, I gave Him what He needs"

Rating: 3.5/10

Verdict: Think "Iron Man, Made in England, during Victorian Age"

I really think the above statement summarise the whole movie.

The movie setting is back in the London during the Victorian Age.

With the rather radical representation of Sherlock Holmes by Robert Downey Jr (starred in Iron Man, which is another fun movie to watch), this movie is fun to watch.

Not only the movie has lotsa witty moment (e.g. his mind-simulation of his fighting tactic) - in fact, there were also excessive of information to be absorbed, but it didn't discount any fun factor.

This movie is best watched by the person who isn't a hardcore fan of the original Sherlock Holmes, and who like those silly British type of comedy (take Shaun of the Dead & Hot Fuzz - they share similar formula)

The acting, story, the flow, the graphic are solid - not something I would expect from Guy Ritchie, definitely.

The only drawback is that the movie has so much of coincidence (how they are able to get the difficult evidence, how they narrowly escape etc)

But still, I'm giving it a solid rating.

Rating: 9.5/10

Verdict: A good Chinese movie with great effort put in production.

Just look at the casts in the movie posters - you'll know it's a serious production.

Yes the movie is about serious issue, too.

It's about the revolution happened in China, but the incident happened in Hong Kong when the assassins from Qing dynasty tried to kill Sun Yat-Sen who traveled to Hong Kong at that time.

The flow of the story is good, not much of bull shit.

The settings are true to the early 1900-era.

Hence, a serious movie that's seriously produced.

My only complaint is the length of the movie, which can be cut short by, for instance, reduce the number of individual fights.

And for instance again, maybe they wanna make Donnie Yen as the selling point (which, certainly is), so Donnie Yen got quite a lot of individual fights.

Just a side note, me and my friend, somehow, laughed out when we saw the tall monk was stabbed by group of people for the second time.

Apart from that, a good Chinese movie.

Rating: 7.5/10

Although Firefox is the third fastest browser now (in terms of page rendering speed) - but who cares, it is still my favorite browsers in terms of ability to customize, and lots of interesting third party plugins that improve the browsing experience.

Here you go, Firefox 3.6, a faster (in terms of page rendering speed + memory usage) and better browser than its predecessor Firefox 3.5.

I was busy preparing for Mulu trip, but sigh, I should have joined this.

Look, the two Emoodys went to Cameron Highlands.

Enjoying the sunshine..

...and the cool breeze.

Emoody wanted to drink beer but was stopped by Trevor

Then he had a photo with those English style buildings

Knowing that they enjoyed the trip, I became emo.

When Trevor and Colleen tried to pacify me, I got my arms folded (emo+ )

But well, I'm looking forward to Mulu trip now, which will happen in a week time :-3

It's been almost a month since Emoody's recovery of schizophrenia.

I'm glad to tell that, it's all on track :-3

For the first week he still claimed he talked to a imaginary friend in one of the nights.

But for the rest of the weeks, he admitted that back then, he had very hard time (cos he thought he have friends, but those friends didn't treat him as friend)

So now, he's doing good.

Me, Emoody Sr and Sebastian are quite happy for him.

So two days ago I brought the whole family to watch this movie.

Father: The graphic was nice
Mum: Apart from the nice graphic.. not my cup of tea
Sister: Nice graphic.

So, the summary is, nice graphic. Like what I said earlier, the story was OK.

And I've gotta tell ya, my feel of second watch was like... I felt the movie could have been 1 hour shorter.

I know the director would like to explain things clearly - but some part, might have explained too much in detail.

I don't know but I felt bored with the first hour, and had the thought "luckily the war scene later isn't bad"

9/1/10 - Family bond is strong?

Literally, it means 心靈相通 in Mandarin.

Earlier on, my mum went to Carrefour - she bought this ice cream! (to her, it's an expensive ice cream)

At almost the same time, I went to Jusco, I saw this ice cream, found the packaging changed (it doesn't use the smelly plastic packaging anymore)

So I bought it.

At home, when I was about to store it into the fridge - I was shocked! My mum found out this and told me on the spot "Somehow I've got a feeling that you'll buy it.. how to finish?"

I told her "well, let's not be calculative on the good quality ice cream - we'll be able to finish it"

But after that, the whole family caught with coughing.

The total ice cream left = 1.5 tube = 1.5L

Finally, had a taste of this bakuteh, near my house, opened by my friend.

生骨 - RM15 per pax(please pre-order), normal骨- RM10 per pax

If you wonder what's the size of 生骨 - it could be as big as a chicken drumstick.

黃酒雞 - I never like 黃酒雞 so I'll have no comment on this

Rice - not bad

Friends from second session of Digi Contest BKT treat #1

Friends from second session of Digi Contest BKT treat #2

Thanks!

For the price, worth it la, RM15 per pax for 生骨。
