Today after lunch I shopped - almost RM100 spent in 20min shopping at Tesco.
But I have reasons behind everything I bought:
Shin Ramyun - it's been a while since I last bought this, I thought RM11.88 is a rare low price nowadays (Jusco is selling at... RM15?)
Tesco Mineral Water, 5.5L - I need to drink more water, Colleen suggested me to buy actually (hahaha, using ppl's name pulak)
Shoyu Black Pepper chips - Colleen like it, so I bought it
Wise Gila Pedas chips - My stomach wants it, my teeth wanna chew it
Myojo Mee Goreng - me and colleen like it, it's time to add some stock
Peel Fresh Mangosteen 1L - my body need detox. Mangosteen juice is the lazy but nutritious solution
Lee Kam Kee XO Sauce - let's make the food TASTIER!
Wrigleys Chewing Gum - running out of gums to chew
Tsingtao Beer - I heard from my uncle that it's very good. Very good cos they used the fountain water to brew this Chinese beer. So, just give it a try (not in office, of course)
Garnier Facial Wash - running out of stock and would like to give it a try on this brand.
Finally, collection completed
I felt happy - collection completed - both mono and stereo edition of the entire Beatles record.
For Beatles in Mono - you get the physical touch of the replica of vinyl cover + inlet design back in those days.
For Beatles Stereo USB, you get all the albums in MP3, plus high quality electronic version of the cover + inlet, as well as mini documentaries of each and every album.
Last but not least, it also comes with 24-bit lossless format of all the albums (FLAC)
Though the wallet damage is quite severe, but as a Beatles fan, I feel worth it and I'd recommend Beatles fan to get them, too.
The moment you see
those people fight over
the use of a word "Allah"
You may start to wonder
"Who are they to speak
on behalf of God?"
It's all plain assumption,
after all.
So me and my friend went to Cameron Highlands yesterday, randomly.
The view behind the old tea factory of Boh Tea Centre
On the way down from the Boh Tea centre
On the way driving out...
from the Boh Tea centre
My friend said "KL jam.. Cameron also jam... Malaysia Boleh."
Equitorial Hotel, car park area
Alcohol ghost (酒鬼)
Which was one of the purpose we went to Cameron Highlands, btw.
Had fries as snack @ Vintage Restaurant.. not bad
Visited Time Tunnel.. as an actor-wannabe (很愛演)
Had Strawberry strudels @ Strawberry Moment... looked nice but tasted so so.. maybe I was too full.
On the way back...
The trip was fun but tiring.. very tiring.
So, me and my friend had this so called 'beer review' at Cameron Highland.
Reason being:
1) It's an 'Angmo' (western) beverage
2) Cameron Highlands has 'angmo' scenery
3) Cameron Highalands has 'angmo' weather
We started with König Ludwig.
This Bavarian beer is slightly smoother than Löwenbräu, and hence, still somehow reminds me of Heineken.
My friend liked it, and claimed that it's better than Franziskaner. I don't know as I haven't tried it yet.
We got this beer from: Tesco hypermarket
So this one, Weihenstephaner, another Bavarian beer, is produced by the oldest brewery in the world (another 30 years will be their 1000 years anniversary)
It is... very smooth. It can definitely match with Paulaner (also, another Bavarian beer - the Germans in Bavaria state seem to be busy people), which is our top favorite beer at the moment.
We got this beer from: Stadt restaurant. It's expensive but you can get from Bottles & Bottles in The Gardens.
Leffe (Blonde) is a Belgian beer.
My friend didn't manage to drink this. But my first sips tells me that it's a better beer than Hoegaarden, another Belgian beer (which I last drank 2 years ago) and König Ludwig. (and hence, Löwenbräu & Heineken)
We got this beer from: Tesco hypermarket
So this is the winner: Weihenstephaner, followed by Leffe and König Ludwig
Gonna have one day trip this coming Sunday.
Itinerary as follows:
7AM Depart from KL
10.30AM - Expected time to reach Cameron Highland - we'll straight go to Boh Teh Centre @ Sungai Palas
Of course, after that, hanging around and start the so called 'beer review' - a visit to Time Gallery, perhaps
1PM - Go to T cafe to have lunch
After that, driving around to find spot to continue 'beer review' - a visit to strawberry farm or cactus farm, perhaps.
3.30PM - Dessert time @ Strawberry Moment restaurant
Continue 'beer review'
5.30PM - Go home
It'll be very tiring, I'm sure.
Come to think about it, I notice that my friend from Finland was using (small) backpack to store the things that he bought, refusing to take plastic bags.
Two (instant) advantages here:
1) Less pollution (I think he saved like, at least 5 plastic bags, which, I believe it's a practice that's being highly endorsed in Europe)
2) It's easier to carry with backpack.
Colleague A was using a small device to make labels.
The amount was quite a lot.
While Colleague A still had like 20 more to go, Colleague B asked "Can I use? I only have 5, I wanna go home early"
So me, being busy body, turned my head to Colleague B:
"When you buy burgers at McDonald's, do you also ask if the fella in front of you, whether is he/she buying 5 sets, and that you are only buying 1?"
Colleague B rested the case.
(Another brand, name forgotten) was really really really good, back then
If you so happen to visit Holland, please try out Stroopwafels.
Even my sis fren, who just came back from Germany - bought a Holland product.
But this particular brand isn't nice - really really not nice.
That explains why after almost a week - the waffle are still available, on the table :P
12/1/10 - On the way to work
'Orange' was the first thing came into my mind.
Then a song called "Good Day Sunshine".
Just got the checklist for the trip...
Sounds like it's gonna be a get-yourself-dirty trip.
With leeches...
With fierce sunshine...
The Mulu Pinnacle has better be good.

Verdict: While James Cameron set a brand new standard in 3D animation, the storyline still fall short of 'surprises'
You may argue that the story is good, but I beg to differ - you are actually stunned by the top notch graphic created, which is a brand new experience for you and I.
Few things that explain the weak point spotted in the story (Warning: spoiler) :
1) How Jake knew that the 'sticky substance' from the plant is flammable, when he was in the jungle for the first time
2) How did Neytiri get that "Ray Ban-like" goggle when she flew with the flying beast?
3) How naive was the Na'vi clan to accept an "Avatar" to be their clan - knowing that avatar is an avatar, which is not real.
4) Na'vi clan obviously had no hard feeling, knowing that an avatar (Jake) can rule them all, who even had 'hijacked' their god-like flying beast. (It's like, "hey, Na'vi, you all suck, avatar rocks")
5) The happily-ever-after ending is just so old school - the ability to 'transfer' the whole consciousness thing from human to an avatar proves that human technology suck - all you need is the "Tree of Soul" - and they should have used that to attack human in the first place
OK, enough of ranting.
Avatar is still a must watch movie of 2009 and 2010.
Watching once is never enough, you'll definitely feel like watching it twice even in the 3D format (I've yet to do that)
The graphic is stunning, James Cameron had definitely set a new standard in animation - making the scene that's impossible to be filmed real life into this 'animation reality'
(Imagine, he waited more than a decade so that it's 'technologically feasible' to film this movie)
He had open the room of possibilities to the people that 'hey, with animation, you can do more than this"
The story, unfortunately, is still the standard epic-style formula, but I don't blame that - his effort to produce this excellent product compensated that.
The story is easy to understand so, I'll strongly recommend you to watch it. (though I thought 2 hours 45 minutes can actually be shorter)
One line summary of this movie - It's a combination of Star Wars, The Matrix, Lord of the Rings, Surrogates and maybe some movie about Africa.
Rating:
Graphic: 11/10 (i'm not joking)
Story: 7.5/10
Combined: 9/10
It'll be a challenging one as I've never done such a 'complete thing' before.
It'll be a great achievement if I'm able to do it.
A milestone, to be exact.
a.k.a Project ICSIN
Background music: Oasis - I Can See It Now
Short note: This is a video that summarises the happy moment I had in year 2009.
It was truly a great year which I had done the most activity - compared to any of the years before.
Thanks to the friends around...
Some of the idea in the video.. such as the 'filler video' was actually an idea back in year 2005/2006 - when one day I was talking to Weihan, about the idea to make an MV for this song.
But well, there was no action so instead, I brought it 'alive' in a way - to this "reflection" video.
Year 2009 has been great - and I promise myself to make year 2010 even greater!
I think it's the second last or third last thing (the last thing would be religion) that you should argue with your friend - especially if both of you are music lover with different preference.
My friend is a heavy metal music lover
Me, on the other hand, listen to classical music.
Our common interest: some rock music, some techno/house music
So one day my friend said "I can't stand you and your classical music, yi yi ye ye yo yo wi wi" (tried to imitate the orchestra pieces)
I replied "I can't stand you and your heavy metal music, WASHAYOU THINKOWE THIS!" (tried to imitate the singer growling)
There are several lines that's not necessary to be put here, but at last, I told him:
"Let's argue over something that's more worth it. I don't appreciate your heavy metal music, you don't appreciate classical music - so there's no need to force to compromise"
The argument stopped there but I felt it's very true.
I remember about 10 years ago I told the other friend:
"It'll be very silly of you to shout in the music hall, having classical music performance: "ROCK AND ROLL ROCKS!!!! CLASSICAL MUSIC SUCKS!!!"
You won't have a good day, I'm sure.

It's a 16GB pendrive, after all
4 months after I bought The Beatles in Mono - this is the last investment I'm gonna put on The Beatles, at least in the near future.
You may wanna check out the details about this USB drive, here
But I wish I don't hear from TC that "Hey, I saw from Rock Corner in Midvalley, it's selling at cheaper price"
Oh well, don't spoil my trust in online shopping with you, can you, Amazon.com?
I must go there to try it :)
TC, let's go there with Goh one day.
If it's nice, on me.
If it isn't, go back home sendiri :P
HAHAHAHA
Haha.. it's not "I see Sin" but it's a name of a song called "I Can See It Now"
It is a video memoir of the happy things I did in 2009.
I had always wanted to finish it last year but failed.
So, hopefully I can get it done real soon.
To me, religion is the last topic you should criticise in the public.
Simply because, religion is personal.
When things get personal with a large group - it'll be very complicated.
During the last year's onsite standby support- there are two sites actually - I was initially sent to the 'eerie place' that I mentioned in my previous post.
I was reluctant, of course :P
So my colleagues asked me to bring the holy water, Christian cross to the place.
I argued that it won't work cos the spirit was a muslim.
He said "How sure are you? She only mentioned the name, (Aziz was the name) she didn't mention Assalammualaikum, Aziz"
I rested my case.
But luckily I wasn't sent to that site, too.
Phew.
Last year (more like, last month) my colleague shared an eerie experience:
He was chatting with another two of my colleagues, the time was about 1AM.
Suddenly, they heard a woman's voice, calling for a guy's name, from a secured room far from their place.
No one was working in that secured room.
After it went to silent for a moment,
the woman's voice appeared right inside the emergency stairway, which was locked as well. (yah, this is Malaysia, I guess, locked for what?)
They quickly left the place.
Come to think about it, one quarter after I bought The Beatles in Mono,
I had only touched it for twice - part of the reason is I really feel like appreciating this piece.
But gonna do more discovery soon - else why bought it in the first place?
Perhaps, I don't know how to love.
But I should not,
Transfer my unhappiness to a person
Who is innocent
Whom I have no rights to do so.
And it's not the person who's affected.
The whole family was affected, too.
This is the week that tells me that I have every reason to move on, positively.
There's no turning back.
Ronnie first coined it.
I'm tempted to use it.
Colleen knows why.
But would that be a blasphemy?
It's an upgraded term of DSK.
I ordered Sushi set
Appetizer photo wasn't taken cos we were hungry
I heard my friend said nice when he tried this.
Said another nice when he tried the foie gras
Another nice when he drank the soup
I forgot if he said nice when he tried out the tempura dish (I forgot to take photo! Maybe it's too nice for me!)
He doesn't take this kind of raw food so there's no rating from him.
He ordered Teppan-Yaki set, said twice the word 'nice' when he ate the rice
Another nice when he ate this green tea ice cream.
I'm not gonna give a rating.
I thought my friend's "Nice" rating said it all.
And another FYI, the Sushi set you've seen above = RM90.
Sekian, terima kasih.
Had a presentation just now - the 1 year old baby that I wrote was finally 'exposed'.
With just one aim only - to improve the process and make the effort recognised :-)
Me and my friend discussed bout this during dinner.
It's a good skill to use in life, actually - it will help you to see clear picture of what's going on.
For example:
Earlier on the General Audit Malaysia reported that there are people who spent 50k on a laptop, because of a maintenance contract, because of the premium support etc
By using the filter mode:Earlier on the General Audit Malaysia reported that there are people who Spent 50k on a laptop, because of a maintenance contract, because of the premium support etc
Result: You know someone is making huge money out of it.
Is someone who
Would step into your life at the right time, back off when it isn't right.
Listen to you, instead of deciding for you.
Give you the frank statement instead of telling what you want to hear.
Try to ease your pain instead of creating hurt.
Support you to do the right thing, and would give the reminder when you are not.
These are the friends we should not disappoint.
The rest, we can choose to put them out of the picture of our life.
Java chips Frappacino (Venti) & Markss & Spencer all butter Viennese cookies
So this is my lunch.
My colleague said "Wah, you'll be thin and poor"
But not quite right on the thin part.

This drink is actually fatter than McChicken burger.
Fatter than a medium sized French Fries
And not surprisingly, fatter than a medium sized Coke.
So the final comparison:
McChicken medium set: 398 + 351 + 153 = 902kcal
Starbucks + cookies = 460 + 150 (1/4 of the total cookies) = 610kcal
So the summary is, fast food is still fatter, but frappucino isn't that healthy, either.
A friend who didn't contact for over a year suddenly contacted me - and asked me to go for his wedding dinner.
But the day falls on my Mulu trip - so he rested the case.
Funny but lucky :P
You know, trying to be a superstar isn't an easy thing.
You'll need to sit properly and let the photographer to take photo of you - for any possible usage, such as album art, fan photo etc.
Luckily I'm a bear who can sit properly.
I know there are bears who can only stand. (I dunno, something like bear made from brick)
Pity.
I found this quote from the new book I bought earlier - 'The 4-Hour Workweek'
Reality is merely an illusion, although a very persistent one.
~Albert Einstein
Kind of deep but quite understandable, in a way.
Just a thought about why some girls are willing to be the third party to a guy who's in relationship.
And ya, the following advice sounds like I'm a traitor to some guy's 'trade secret' in luring the third party girl friend but ya, here are my advice for them.
1) There's no good bitch or bad bitch - as long as you are interfering a couple's relationship, you are a bitch
2) It is his problem to be a womaniser, being unfaithful to his girl friend / wife - and you don't have to be part of his problem.
3) He should solve his problem by himself. You can't solve his problem - so don't be part of his problem, which is the first thing to do
4) The reason why he can (have time to) do all this is because he has a stabilised life, which is partly contributed by his loving gf/wife who would contribute without questioning
5) Having said that, he won't appreciate someone who loves him - so he won't appreciate yours, too.
6) Just imagine if his gf/wife chose to leave him - the first thing he'll do is to chase her back, not you - because you are nobody to him
7) And yes, if by getting the things you want from him, which he can get additional free sex (else, what do u think that he wants from you? A love that he won't appreciate his current gf /wife in the first place?) - why not? He'll do all he can do get this free stuff
8) You have the ability to earn your own livings, so please respect yourself
9) With the $$ you earn by yourself, you can take control of your life
10) I believe in karma. What goes around will come around - so start doing the right thing before it's too late
And surprisingly, if you convert the statement to fit for a guy, who's involved as a third party in a girl's relationship - most points are still valid.
So, please, don't ever involve yourself as a third party in a relationship - it will, in most case, bring in more sorrow/suffer/pain/guilt/hurt than the short happiness that you gain.
It could be just that I'm naive about the definition of trust
Or is the other one being naive about it?
It could be just that I'm naive about the definition of love
Or, is the other one being naive about what isn't love?
But it could be just a human behavior after all.
And different perception on the same matter.
And that's life :)
