I went to Jusco and went for quick last minute shopping. (I usually do that)

Looking back, now only I realised that we bought a lot of snacks (we usually do that)

There was one item that I can't use, the name is "Laurier", but it was in the basket (she usually does that)

And in 20 minutes, my shopping confession told me that, of those not necessary stuff, they cost RM144.80 (It's been a while since I do that)

I'm using Facebook Lite now.

Well, it's clean and as the name suggests - light.

To some, there's nothing much you can do - you could only see friends update, post your status, post + tag photo.

But to me, it serves the facebook core service - which has no updates on games progress, personality test results, which is good enough :P

Give yourself a try at http://lite.facebook.com/

This is my new princess an interesting junk food packaging that I found in Jusco, where it was hung on the shelf.

Down from packet#5, the little girl will say different thing, complemented with different facial expression:

Packet#4: One gone, and soon all will be gone!
Packet#5: Please come and buy me

Packet#1: What?! Only one left!
Packet#2: Two left! What are you hesitating for?!!
Packet#3: Three left! Go and gather money now!

My credit card bill will be extremely painful to see, to feel and to understand.

Yesterday, after reading the review about Beatles in Mono for the past few days, I've decided to buy.

And it's a box of thirteen disc remastered in mono - which is supposed to give 'how The Beatles should sound like', reason being back then, the mono was given higher priority, and reason being back then, the stereo playback machine was not a mainstream.

So, £178 was spent on amazon.co.uk (reason being it's out of stock for amazon.com, and it's way too expensive on amazon.co.jp)

FYI, the last Beatles I bought was Anthology 1, which was RM80 back in 12 years ago.

I didn't know it could be such a big leap now.

It has better be good.

Last but not least, I've to worry about custom tax.

OMFG!

Lately I've got the opportunity to hang out with Cancerians, frequently. (a term nicked for person who is a Cancer)

Of course, with my little knowledge of horoscope, I can summarise them as follows: (sarcasm intended, but I believe that explains the situation best)

1) They are action type of people (a common traits for cardinal sign)

2) They often have special idea because they love to do things unorthodox-ly. That gives them the ability to have unique strategy and outperform sometimes. (erm, for crab which doesn't walk straight, how can they not doing things differently?)

3) They are perfectionist of things they do (they'll feel reluctant to start a job/project/task if the requirements are not met or components/people are not ready)

4) They are generally viewed as "the most caring sign" among the 12 signs

5) On point #3, that's why, they get pissed off when the elements prepared are not 'perfect' (hence the bad mood)

6) And because of point#5, they are also famously known for being 'emo' (yah, emo till they'll have the most negative thoughts, in contrast with their 'caring' image)

7) They are not keen to let people understand why they are acting like that (point#1-point#6, especially the emo part). (and hence they give the 'emo' image to people)

8) And once hurt, they, will be like crab, hide back to the shell (and doing the stuff stated in point #6 and #7)

Please don't mistake me, Cancer is a special sign which I admire for their unorthodox way of doing things.

Reason is being quite simple - for a sign that can't even walk straight, how do you even expect them to think straight? (hence the unorthodox as well as emo)

Again, I'm trying to be sarcastic but I (seriously and really) do admire them :-)

I didn't know that this happened in Malaysia.

I mean, while the vet was an evil, the pet owner could believe in keeping the squirrel warm with her breast. (??!!)

Quick summary:

"The veterinarian had asked the 27-year old woman to place the squirrel inside her blouse to keep it warm given its “erratic body temperature”."

“He then took advantage by groping and sucking the victim’s breasts. "

“He told her she need not pay for the squirrel’s treatment and asked her to come again. But she decided to lodge a police report,”

"The squirrel died shortly after returning home."

Note: This is hell no way the same song as Black Eyed Peas' I Gotta Feeling. That one was sooooooooo annoying and, well, cheapo :P

This song is dedicated to my friends, who are having low-morale or bad mood lately....

You know who you are :P

This is a song by The Beatles, they rocked and they still rock.

Lyrics:
I've got a feeling, a feeling deep inside, oh yeah
Oh, yeah, that's right
I've got a feeling, a feeling I can't hide, oh no no
oh no, oh no
Yeah, yeah
I've got a feeling, yeah

Oh please believe me, I'd hate to miss the train
Oh yeah yeah oh yeah
And if you leave me, I won't be late again
oh no, oh no, oh no
yeah, yeah
I've got a feeling, yeah
I've got a feeling

All these years I've been wandering around
wondering how come nobody told me
All that I was looking for was somebody
who looked like you

I've got a feeling that keeps me on my toes
oh yeah, oh yeah
I've got a feeling that everybody knows
oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah
yeah, yeah
I've hot a feeling, yeah
Yeah

Everybody had a hard year
Everybody had a good time
Everybody had a wet dream
Everybody saw the sun shine
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah
Everybody had a good year
Everybody let their hair down
Everybody pulled their socks up
Everybody put their foot down
oh yeah

Everybody had a good year
Everybody had a hard time
Everybody had a wet dream
Everybody saw the sun shine
Everybody had a good year
Everybody let their hair down
Everybody pulled their socks up
Everybody put their foot down
oh yeah

I've got a feeling
I've got a feeling
I've got a feeling, yeah

There's this nice South African style roasted chicken - but until lately, I found that there's this set that provides very complete meal.

From (yummy) chicken, rice, (Peri) fries - there are two types of salads too.

This meal is a meal for 3-4 persons, cost about RM50+++

But, me and my friend were the only persons to finish it.

And we had it after gym session.

Btw, Nando's chicken tastes better than Kenny Roger's, just IMHO.

It's nice to go out with Emoody and Sr.

They are nice people bears to deal with. However, the picture above shows that they are really flat, which I have a slightly more 3D look.

And to celebrate Chinese's ghost month (July is considered a ghost month in Chinese calendar) we've decided to take some eerie photo - acting that we're dead.

I 'died' with a smile, I know.

I have a chance to have a glimpse of the albums - I've to be frank - THEY ARE F***ING AMAZING!

They are crisp and clear, as if John Lennon is alive and singing in front of you again...

As a Beatles' fan, I feel fortunate to be able to listen to the as-if-they-are-freshly-recorded-in-studio edition, even though we're talking about music that is 40 years ago.

GO GRAB IT IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE!

I think this statement is very applicable to the company that I work with.

Not only artifact is important, but there are a lot of processes to adhere to.

But after all these years, there's something good about it too - or maybe, it's more of a western culture that, for everything there must be an evidence.

And with documentation, you can easily handover your job or train up a backup to support you.

6/9/09 - Random shot in FRIM

I've been taking quite a number of photos using C901.

While I'm not a pro photographer, nor I'm equipped with pro camera, I can only try my luck to capture good photo.

That's when I started to take random photos - after being lazy to learn on how to take photo properly.

When I got my C901 in July, it did help a lot - I started to take photo more often cos it's easy to carry around (rather than carrying my Panasonic LX3)

So, probably after practicing more often, my sister said that I know how to take the angle better - which to us, is a random stuff and not quite teachable.

So, there you have it. I love my phone and although it doesn't have wifi and two way 3G call - it's a phone that I need ;)

CHEERS! (in serious face though)

The leaders of Malaysia should read this - on how to overcome a potential racial issue.

In the nutshell,

1) The police (Crowley) assumed and overreacted that Gates was commiting crime.
2) Gates overreacted when the police was carrying his duty (he thought it's about racial issue)
3) Obama, chose the wrong word to comment on the situation (he thought it's about racial issue, too)
4) Obama knew that he was wrong and after admitting his mistake in press conference, he invited Gates and Crowley to a "Beer Summit"
5) In the end, CHEERS for everyone.

Look, a simple gesture can solve a potential big racial issue.

With Malaysia, that's famous of all kind of food, of course, I'm not asking for non-Halal way to have the summit with Muslim friends, but, this is inspiring - and it came from the president of USA.

Read the full detail here, it's interesting :)

So we know that last Friday, a group of 50 Muslims brought a cow's head to protest the movement of Hindu temple to their resident area, and threaten of a bloodshed action.

While I despise such an action (the cow is sacred in Hinduism), what I'm more disgusted is the Home Minister who failed to do his job - instead, on Wednesday, he defended the protesters as 'merely want to raise their concern and didn't know how the cow's head appeared'.

You can read the summarised report here, and watch the video posted above of what he said.

But on the next day (Thursday), he called for action by the police.

Till now, there's no action yet.

While the disagreement on other's religion (which is exactly why there's so many unrest in middle east) is despicable, what's more disgusting is the flip-flop style of the Home minister, and the incompetent action by police.

I once heard it sometimes ago.

And I found it quite relevant to me, lately.

I've been doing a small programming project, writing a tool to do monitoring.

So 7 months ago (yah), I made change to the application design.

Instead of gradually release the new function phase by phase, I jumped from version 0.71 to 0.9.(it has 3 new functions in total)

Result?

It didn't work and I spent about an hour each month (hahaha, apparently, it's not an important project) but still failed to race the bug.

So yesterday, I had decided to use back the version 0.71 code, and start again.

Conclusion:
2 days (about 8 hours) of coding,
Spent 6 hours of debugging(in six months),
Back to square one.

Therefore, it's always good to do it right at the first time, i.e. one step at a time.

Malaysia is in need of some good news.

Thanks to this French, Alain Robert, who successfully climbed to the top of Petronas Twin Tower (and on top of the anthenna)

If you don't know where's the top of the anthenna, here's the partial photo of the tower (circled in red):

Scary? Yes. Who could have done that? Alain did it without any equipment!!!

So this is him, smiling after the court ruled that he'll be fined RM2,000 for climbing the building illegally.

LOL, but what's RM2,000 (400 Euro?) for the French who's able to make the trip here, and achieved another glorious moment?

I don't feel offended for this fella who scaled the Twin Tower.

Instead, I feel proud for him, for his bravery, his courage and his perseverance!

Today, I went to have vegetarian lunch. Suddenly, I thought of my friend, who likes to blog about her lunch.

So I text her and say I'm gonna blog like her. But after I paid for the meal, I guess the hunger made me lost control, and this is the photo I had:

Of course, since I've promised people to blog, how can I break the promise?

So I ordered yong taufu:

It looks as if it's real but it's vegetarian!

Oh ya, and the drink I had: loh hon go drinks.

Overall this lunch is nice. and FYI, I just had lunch in this stall on yesterday, too.

But well, this blog won't be the same as my friend's cos I don't have little angel.

I saw this from The Star website.

How do you define "patriotism" ?

By having the celebration event annually?

By having the ministers giving the 'feel good' statements as if nothing bad happened lately?

Patriotism should be in every citizen's heart - and by practicing things that is good for the country.

It's definitely not just plain talking.

Thanks The Star for representing the mentality of Malaysians.
