Cute for unknown reason, but I had unknown fear for it
I read the article on BBC.
While the scientists can't explain the reason behind it (but they did explain that the cub would do this when it travels thru the deep snow), my instinct (especially after I watched the film, Earth) told me that it's due to the global warming:
The thinning ice sheet which is getting faster nowadays, forcing the mother polar bear to carry the cub, to walk faster, or:
They'll fall into the sea and the cub will suffer with the cold water.
