So, me and my friend had this so called 'beer review' at Cameron Highland.

Reason being:
1) It's an 'Angmo' (western) beverage
2) Cameron Highlands has 'angmo' scenery
3) Cameron Highalands has 'angmo' weather


We started with König Ludwig.

This Bavarian beer is slightly smoother than Löwenbräu, and hence, still somehow reminds me of Heineken.

My friend liked it, and claimed that it's better than Franziskaner. I don't know as I haven't tried it yet.

We got this beer from: Tesco hypermarket


So this one, Weihenstephaner, another Bavarian beer, is produced by the oldest brewery in the world (another 30 years will be their 1000 years anniversary)

It is... very smooth. It can definitely match with Paulaner (also, another Bavarian beer - the Germans in Bavaria state seem to be busy people), which is our top favorite beer at the moment.

We got this beer from: Stadt restaurant. It's expensive but you can get from Bottles & Bottles in The Gardens.



Leffe (Blonde) is a Belgian beer.

My friend didn't manage to drink this. But my first sips tells me that it's a better beer than Hoegaarden, another Belgian beer (which I last drank 2 years ago) and König Ludwig. (and hence, Löwenbräu & Heineken)

So this is the winner: Weihenstephaner, followed by Leffe and König Ludwig

Gonna have one day trip this coming Sunday.

Itinerary as follows:

7AM Depart from KL
10.30AM - Expected time to reach Cameron Highland - we'll straight go to Boh Teh Centre @ Sungai Palas

Of course, after that, hanging around and start the so called 'beer review' - a visit to Time Gallery, perhaps

1PM - Go to T cafe to have lunch

After that, driving around to find spot to continue 'beer review' - a visit to strawberry farm or cactus farm, perhaps.

3.30PM - Dessert time @ Strawberry Moment restaurant

Continue 'beer review'

5.30PM - Go home

It'll be very tiring, I'm sure.

So I heard the nasi lemak and the fried chicken are not bad.

I'll try that one next time, in my next visit to Klang.

The food was nice


Fish & Shrimp set was pathetically small portion but still tasted nice

But thier service (tried at The Curve cineplex branch) SUCKS TO THE CORE

Come to think about it, I notice that my friend from Finland was using (small) backpack to store the things that he bought, refusing to take plastic bags.

Two (instant) advantages here:
1) Less pollution (I think he saved like, at least 5 plastic bags, which, I believe it's a practice that's being highly endorsed in Europe)
2) It's easier to carry with backpack.

Colleague A was using a small device to make labels.

The amount was quite a lot.

While Colleague A still had like 20 more to go, Colleague B asked "Can I use? I only have 5, I wanna go home early"

So me, being busy body, turned my head to Colleague B:

"When you buy burgers at McDonald's, do you also ask if the fella in front of you, whether is he/she buying 5 sets, and that you are only buying 1?"

Colleague B rested the case.

(Another brand, name forgotten) was really really really good, back then

If you so happen to visit Holland, please try out Stroopwafels.

Even my sis fren, who just came back from Germany - bought a Holland product.

But this particular brand isn't nice - really really not nice.

That explains why after almost a week - the waffle are still available, on the table :P

Zinger Tower set makes pollution, badly

I ordered the set, and found it quite ridiculous - is it necessary to put the chips into a plastic container?

That'll be the last such Zinger Tower set I'm gonna order from KFC, seriously.

12/1/10 - On the way to work

'Orange' was the first thing came into my mind.

Then a song called "Good Day Sunshine".

This Kluang station Hainanese chicken chop really got nothing to shout about - but the gravy is nice.

RM20 for half pint isn't quite worth the taste

Had a chance to try out this German beer.

The taste... is like... a better version of Carlsberg or Heineken.

But no where near Paulaner - it's still my favorite German beer so far.

Which means, it's 5 Germans vs 2 Belgians

Total spent: RM260 on 14 sticks

We bears do yoga, too.

We have our own yoga, which is hard to be achieved by human.

In this case, Emoody Sr was using one hand + part of the head to support the body, then tilting the body in 45degree position.

I dare any human to do that - cos even I also have hard time achieving that.

3 Germans vs 2 Belgians

RM130+ spent on 10 sticks of beers. (it is still a good deal, I must say)

They had better be good.

Just got the checklist for the trip...

Sounds like it's gonna be a get-yourself-dirty trip.

The Mulu Pinnacle has better be good.

Verdict: While James Cameron set a brand new standard in 3D animation, the storyline still fall short of 'surprises'

You may argue that the story is good, but I beg to differ - you are actually stunned by the top notch graphic created, which is a brand new experience for you and I.

Few things that explain the weak point spotted in the story (Warning: spoiler) :
1) How Jake knew that the 'sticky substance' from the plant is flammable, when he was in the jungle for the first time
2) How did Neytiri get that "Ray Ban-like" goggle when she flew with the flying beast?
3) How naive was the Na'vi clan to accept an "Avatar" to be their clan - knowing that avatar is an avatar, which is not real.
4) Na'vi clan obviously had no hard feeling, knowing that an avatar (Jake) can rule them all, who even had 'hijacked' their god-like flying beast. (It's like, "hey, Na'vi, you all suck, avatar rocks")
5) The happily-ever-after ending is just so old school - the ability to 'transfer' the whole consciousness thing from human to an avatar proves that human technology suck - all you need is the "Tree of Soul" - and they should have used that to attack human in the first place

OK, enough of ranting.

Avatar is still a must watch movie of 2009 and 2010.

Watching once is never enough, you'll definitely feel like watching it twice even in the 3D format (I've yet to do that)

The graphic is stunning, James Cameron had definitely set a new standard in animation - making the scene that's impossible to be filmed real life into this 'animation reality'

(Imagine, he waited more than a decade so that it's 'technologically feasible' to film this movie)

He had open the room of possibilities to the people that 'hey, with animation, you can do more than this"

The story, unfortunately, is still the standard epic-style formula, but I don't blame that - his effort to produce this excellent product compensated that.

The story is easy to understand so, I'll strongly recommend you to watch it. (though I thought 2 hours 45 minutes can actually be shorter)

One line summary of this movie - It's a combination of Star Wars, The Matrix, Lord of the Rings, Surrogates and maybe some movie about Africa.

Rating:
Graphic: 11/10 (i'm not joking)
Story: 7.5/10
Combined: 9/10

Is usually slower than the rest during the traffic jam.

It'll be a challenging one as I've never done such a 'complete thing' before.

It'll be a great achievement if I'm able to do it.

A milestone, to be exact.

So, after two months of testing, the person said it helped to 'reduce the menstrual pain' to a certain extend.

So, I take that this is a good investment.

Short note: This is a video that summarises the happy moment I had in year 2009.

It was truly a great year which I had done the most activity - compared to any of the years before.

Thanks to the friends around...

Some of the idea in the video.. such as the 'filler video' was actually an idea back in year 2005/2006 - when one day I was talking to Weihan, about the idea to make an MV for this song.

But well, there was no action so instead, I brought it 'alive' in a way - to this "reflection" video.

Year 2009 has been great - and I promise myself to make year 2010 even greater!
